Design a Board Game

It all began in the year 2000.  I had an idea come to me about a boardgame and for the next 2 days, I had completed the a makeshift board, the pieces, reusable tables to keep track of data and written out a rough draft of the rules.

Fast forward to the present time and it still sits in that form, although I have been able to play test it, that only took place 2 weeks after the initial design.

Other obligations and priorities stood in the way.  Laziness was likely a factor too.  The boardgame was packed up several times for moves and then each time, recovered several months later.

So now I sit here, wanting desparately to bring it to market someday as I believe it is a great game that many would enjoy.  This blog will track my progress and my pitfalls and serve as a reference to those who wish to do develope their own boardgame.

I’ll be scouring the web for resources and also be contacting several companies for quotes on board game pieces and the cost to go to market.
